Henderson Space & Science Center
"designed to inspire..."
The Henderson Space and Science Center is being designed to
inspire and educate our students and citizenry, while providing an atmosphere
where success is not only achievable, but fun as well. Our center will allow
students to learn in their own way. Working with our partners; Nevada
universities, Clark County School District and business, our programs will be
developed in accordance with Nevada State Science Standards and will place an
emphasis on S.T.E.M. (Science Technology Engineering and Math) programming.
Our plan is to create a facility that will boast almost 90,000 square feet, with an additional 40,000 feet of outdoor demonstration area. We will provide interactive exhibits, space for experiments, and classroom areas.
Federal and state funding for science education has been drastically cut and test scores are down. Our children deserve more. In a diverse community like southern Nevada, we recognize the need to augment our education system, and the responsibility for educating our students and growing our community lies with us.
We look forward to working with you as we build the future, and “Give our Kids the Universe”
